Ok, I have an MPK mini plus . Can someone please tell me exactly what I need to do in the MPC editor so I can get my controller to work in g stomper...

No need to do anything in MPC Editor.
Just plug it in and it will work out of the box.
You need an USB-A female to USB-C adapter cable like this here:

Then all you have to do is to map the right MIDI channel in the G-Stomper app (Main Screen / SETUP / MIDI / ....).
