The finished tracks can be found on Soundcloud, I decided to split the tracks into two parts because of long playing samples which I could not not get working correctly with the first part of the track, either way PT2 has become my love child
Name has changed to
Bass Odyssey pt1 War
Bass Odyssey pt2 Serenity

Just messing about because having a musical drought, whenever I start something the end result is nothing like how it begun
The whole point of this track as with some others is to try and not make people think this is created with an app

[Below are 3 revisions of the same track/patterns that are posted in this whole thread]]

Very rough and the drums need a hell of work for a drum and bass track (much, much more) samples used of note are from the Nord Clavia and Korg Monotron duo, this little thing is so cheap and useful I might purchase one for myself.
Also vocal samples from http://www.dailywav.com hopefully will be added.

Re: W.I.P
Man, that sounds really awesome, love that tempo changes.
Really cool beat. I'd love to hear the upcoming compressor sidechain within that track
Thanks a lot for posting Jason

Re: W.I.P
Thanks, at first I was going to try something else, but right now I hear different effects in other music and want to recreate that sound within G-Stomper, I have added a 'transformer' effect by simply chaining phaser and vibrato efx together at certain steps within a pattern. Hopefully by the end of the week I will post an example in the tricks and tips section.

Really fancy effects . Did you use 8 bit samples for that or did you mangle other samples with the bitcrusher?

I never really noticed the 8 bit effect..... Until now, so I changed one sample to alter the sound throughout because it was not intended, the sample is a left over from my last two tracks
The 8 bit sound came about by using a two maybe three samples at higher octaves, sometimes using a sample with the stereo efx produces an effect I was not expecting, long story short...G-Stomper gave me a sound and I just went with the flow, I only used the stereo enhancer and x delay Efx, if you listened to the last two patterns they are identical except x delay is used.
Nothing much else used or tweaked except panning and reverse.
Re: W.I.P

Thanks a lot for the explanation J-Fon

I like it. [[Maybe your drought is over]]
[And I am the person that said "All the demos I heard were of the type BOOM BASH BOOM BOOM type - interesting but not my normal type of music."]
What samples did you use for the piano part?
Re: W.I.P
Sorry for the late reply, I am not sure of the exact piano sample I used, Myrothas posted a sample pack in which i got it from:

I added more effects as this is not a track as such but an compilation of patterns, then at some point I might chop and change to make things more cohesive.

EFX most used is vibrato and the very last pattern is vibrato side loaded with phaser.
