Hi,
wouldn't be great if i can use my old Android Phone as Midi Clock / MTC generator?
The MC Out in G-Stomper is working really good with my Nexus 10 Tablet to sync Bitwig 2.1.1 on my PC.
Adjusting the latency and all is good here. But i think a smaller app only for Midi Sync with a small footprint
would be better for tight timing.
Features:
MidiClock / MTC or what ever can be out as sync protocol.
Start, Stop, Back to Start buttons.
Timeline (Song start time, loop, Song end time)
BPM field like - 123,42 +
Output Information Field.
..any many more.
Don't know if all features make sense, just brainstorming.
Hope any dev from G-Stomper is reading this thread and think about it. I will buy it immediately!

[DONE in Link to MIDI Bridge] Suggestion for an app (MC/MTC MidiOut)
Re: Suggestion for an app (MC/MTC MidiOut)
Welcome to the forum, Chris_
And thanks for your suggestion.
Something in this direction is already planned.
It will be mainly an Ableton Link to MIDI bridge, but it will of course also work without Ableton Link connected.
It'll come with most of the controls you've suggested.
Start/Stop
Tempo
Signature
Measurement
Ableton Link controls
MIDI setup
Current time indicator
etc.
What it probably won't have is MTC.

Re: Suggestion for an app (MC/MTC MidiOut)
Sounds good!
Hopefully with MC Out. Not every DAW/App has Ableton Link implemented (its a shame).
And please small footprint. I am now in benchmark mode.
Testing latency settings on my PC with a HTC Desire S, HTC One S, HTC One m7, Nexus 10, OnePlus 3T and Bitwig 2.1.1.
Can also test Ableton Link with Native Instruments Reaktor.
Any preview available or ETA?

MC will of course be aboard, just forgot to put it to the list;). There is no concrete ETA yet, but it'll be somewhere in fall 2017
Re: Suggestion for an app (MC/MTC MidiOut)
Just a quick update:
The Link to MIDI Bridge is now in progress, and after the first tests the MIDI clock seems to be rock solid.
It'll still be a while until it's ready for the play store. But it's on the way, that's for sure.

Hey Chris_
Just want you to know, that 'Link to MIDI Bridge' 1.0 beta1 went online today.
If you have the Google Play store on your device (sorry, no beta testing for Amazon Kindle or similar), then you can join the tests if you're willing to;)
Just visit the G-Stomper Public BETA Community and click "Ask to join".
Once you joined the community, just follow the description in the 'Link to MIDI Bridge BETA' post.
