No problem
This thread will surely help others to understand it.
Thanks a lot for drawing the schematics.

UrsaMajor wrote:The main use is for mixing, being able to more accurately control the width and position of the channel. Especially if there are stereo effects as inserts earlier in the chain. Some tracks you want wide, and some you want narrow. And secondly, the new "Lock Mono" feature is great for checking the mono compability for the whole song, but this feature would also give you the option to check individual tracks in mono. The example with the "Utility" device in Ableton takes this a step further, and makes the device a full mid/side mixer where you mix between 0-100-200. There are also other kinds of plugins that do this kind of mid/side processing as well.
UrsaMajor wrote:Sounds good. Just as a note, the Utility in ableton mixes between MID and SIDE, not between mono and swapping the stereo channels.
0 = completely mono = MID channel
+100 = default stereo = does not change the signal
+200 = only the SIDE channel = will null when later summed to mono
More on MID/SIDE here:

I do however also like the idea of swapping the left and right channels.
UrsaMajor wrote:Sounds really good. If I could dream and its possible, this would be my wishlist:
1) Slider = Gain 50%...200%
2) Slider = Width = Mono/MID ... Stereo ... SIDE
3) Button = Swap L/R (this would swap L+R and, if possible, still make Width mix between swapped stereo and mono)
4) Button = Stereo, Only Left (panned in Center), Only Right (panned in Center)
5) Button = Ø Invert L
6) Button = Ø Invert R
Thanks again.
I really think this app is now entering the next level
