Hi community.
I think that it would be nice if there would be FX quick switch buttons (a left and a right arrow for example) to shift trough Fx-types in the FX Edit and the Insert-FX-sections (so you can test different FX with a Track or record Fx-switching. ... if possible).
A random select FX button (jump randomly to next FX-type) woul be also nice, placed nearby the arrows.
And finally: A button that let you jump through pre-selected Favourite-FX-types (Activation-Box in the right Hand side in the FX-pull-down-menu)
Example: You select Delay, Reverb, Granulator and Delay.
Now the "jump through pre-selected FX-types" cycles only through your personal favourites, if you press the button rhythmically you can record complex FX action. In this mode the "randomly select FX-button" could now rndmly cycle through your pre-selected FX-types.
Hope you can understand the stuff.
Thank you for reading.
What do you think?

[Partially DONE in 5.4.2.1 (new FX Selector)] FX quick switch
Re: FX quick switch
Thanks a lot for your message, Andy.
Generally, what you cannot do is to automate the FX type like other parameters, mainly because switching between completely different effect types (e.g. from a delay to compressor) can produce click noise in some situations. Also, switching the effect types per step triggered by an automation sequence is a lot of work for the CPU and would produce performance problems on various devices.
But as you surely know, you can have different effects per pattern. So you can of course "automate" the effect type by chaining patterns together using the pattern set-
You mean like a random waveform of an LFO?
Also here, the only way to automate the FX type selection is by chaining patterns (for the reasons mentioned above).
A general "favorites" system would actually fit well for many of the modules (e.g. samples, sound sets, presets, fx, even for patterns and pattern sets, also a selection of favorite views could be helpful). I'll give that a closer look and see if I can find a good solution.
