Re: can't install upodate
Welcome to the forum digidirt.
It's just a guess, but I would say you have not enough space left on your storage. You can check that in your system settings / storage.
Btw., it's not an important update for you. I contains only a hot fix for the google nexus 7 v2.

Re: can't install update
Hi, Thanks for the prompt response.
The problem is definitely not space as I have over 70% free storage space on internal(16gb) and over 90% free on ext SD card(8gb).
Since it's a "nexus update", I'll stick to the version that works for now but I hope major updates won't give me issues in the future.
Cheers

Re: can't install update
What you can try is to clear the google play store cache..
settings > apps > all > google play store > ... clear cache and data.
Then reboot and try again.
If it still won't work, I'll send you the apk, just to see if the problem is on google play or in the installation process itself.

Re: can't install update
tried your suggestion, but it didn't change anything: still get the same error message

It may eventually have something to do with this mod, not sure. Is it android 4 based? Did you install the version 2.6.8a (the working one) on this device using the normal google play installation routine? Did you install it before you applied the mod?
Anyway, can you do a quick test please. As far as I know you're a full version user, right?
Please make a new install of the G-Stomper free Demo from google play. If you have the demo installed already, uninstall it first, then install it newly from google play.
If this works with the demo, do the same with the full version, uninstall and then install it again. If this won't work, I'll send you the 2.6.8.2 apk by email, just let me know.
Re: can't install update
Just did some research about the problem.
go to
settings > apps > g-stomper beat studio
click it ... that shows the apps system info, etc.
Is there a button named "move tho phone" or "move to internal"? If yes, it means you moved the app to sd. Push that button to move it back to the phone, then try again to update.
If you don't have that button or if it still didn't work:
I read in some forum post that a workaround is to unmount the external sd card and then update. I'm pretty sure that'll solve it.

Re: can't install update
The Demo installed without a problem.
I currently have 2.68a and it's not installed on the Sd card.
I think I installed it after the mod via a market update.
The mod is based on jellybean 4.2.
Updating or Uninstalling and reinstalling (with SD card removed)didn't solve the problem.

Re: can't install update
Thank you for trying digidirt.
That's really strange. All the posts in the support forums say that unmounting the the sdcard solved the problem.
Did you unmount it using "settings > storage > unmount SD card"?
Looks like this is a common android issue and lot of people having it. It does not have anything to do with the apps.
Anyway I've sent you an email containing a link to the apk. Hope this works finally.

Re: can't install update
Affirmative, I used the above procedure to unmount the SD card.
The apk you sent worked fine and I confirmed that it says "version 2.6.8.2" on the help page.
Thanks for the quality support as is usual.
