G-Stomper BETA 2.6.5 with major EFX update

Postby planet-h » Tue Jul 02, 2013 6:48 am

G-Stomper BETA 2.6.5 is finished.
Hope you're enjoying the new features..

Release Notes:

- Most Effects got 4 Parameters (instead of the existing 2), automatable as usual
- EQ1, all Filters, Exciter, Bottom Booster, Stereo Enhancer, X-Delay, Short Delay got an LFO
- Vibrato, Auto Panner, Chorus, Phaser are migrated to the new LFO core.
- All LFOs are bpm synchable and have changable Waveform:
Triangle, Saw, Reversed Saw, Pulse, Random, Smooth Random
- Fixed Progressbars for Android 2.2 users
- Fixed Parameter assignment when changing the effect type on the efx and master screen
- Fixed sync timing for LFOs and X-Delay
- Many optimizations in the EFX algorithms

Overall, the Effects, especially the filters, use more cpu than before because of the LFOs.
But users with dual-core or higher devices will not even notice that;)

Excellent, no problems so far. I particularly like the pre-delay on the reverb as well as the damping. I think the EQ band on each effect is a nice touch and very useful.

LFOs - very good and including it the delay unit is cool for creating a moving effect.

As usual, very impressed. :D :D :D

Testing was done on a Galaxy Note (so a fairly beefy phone) and a Nexus 7 tablet.

Thanks a lot Myrothas for checking out the BETA. I'm glad you like it :)

You can actually do that;) .. click on 'SndSet Menu' and choose 'Add User-Sample Folder', then click once onto 'Back'... et voilà, you should now see your mounted card.

If you're on Android 3.x, this will probably not work. But you can add the sdcard folder manually in the file '/gstomper/usersamples.conf'. Just add a new line containing the path to your desired sample root folder, save the file and restart G-Stomper.

Hope this helps to import your samples. Otherwise feel free to get back to me;)

Actually he might be referring to the fact the Nexus doesn't mount ext cards. You're stuck with the fixed storage of which the largest model currently is 32gb.... On the other hand it is possible to attach and read media from a usb stick (with the right application of course).
