Soundfonts
I think SFZ is probably the superior format, so if I could find a reliable way to convert SF2 to SFZ on Linux that'd be great. However, I haven't found any method to do that and there's also many more apps that support SF2 (Caustic, Audio Evolution, Grand Piano ...) than do SFZ (only G-Stomper that ...

Re: Sequencer editing over MIDI
OK I'll see if I can come up with a more general solution to propose, though I understand that lack of user interest will mean it won't be a priority to implement.

Sequencer editing over MIDI
So one reason I bought an Arturia BeatStep is it has a step sequencer built in and I was curious what that would mean for something like G-Stomper. I think in my mind I was picturing using its step sequencer to edit sequences in G-Stomper, but, that's not how it works. It can be used to live play in...

[DONE in 5.4.3.2 (Quick Navigator)] Alternative aspect ratios
So I got a Nexus 9 which I think is 4:3 and there's letterboxing in G-Stomper. I know this has been discussed before and I agree it is probably preferable to stretching and scaling to fill the screen if that messes up the layout, the aspect ratio of UI elements etc... But. What about padding? I don'...

Re: Better support for multiple MIDI devices
Thanks a lot, dag. I absolutely understand you the right way, and I really appreciate your suggestions. That I don't dive straight into such an implementation has nothing to do with the fact that I like the idea or not. I definitely like it. The point is that the MIDI integration is already quite c...

Re: Better support for multiple MIDI devices
Just wanted to say again that G-Stomper probably has the best support for MIDI devices I've seen on Android, so kudos and thanks for that. If I'm flooding you with requests for improvements, it's only because it's already so good that the horizon of perfection is almost in sight, and doesn't seem so...

Re: Recent Superpowered developments
I agree it's not practically useful unless it somehow becomes part of the Android core (they're calling it a demo themselves). Personally I don't care if that happens by Google buying their solution or implementing their own as long as the results are the same. I have no stake in Superpowered itself...

Re: Screen tap feedback latency
Yep, that's the talk I watched. Maybe I missed the bit where they mentioned that. Also, sorry if it seemed I was saying you should rewrite G-Stomper to use Superpowered. I don't mean that. It's just interesting to read about, and ponder what it might mean for the future of Android pro audio. Their c...

Re: Screen tap feedback latency
Thanks for the info, dag. As you surely expect, I'm informed about the Superpowered Audio API. Superpowered is great if you want to create a cross-platform app (which GSS clearly isn't), since it comes with the same API for Android, IOS and more. But they do not at all anything special or anything ...
