15.5.5.1 Case 1: Chain Mode = ON, Chain Method = Classic

In case you’re playing with a band, it can often occur that you need to improvise, e.g. to re-sync the phase with the rest of your band (guitar player, singer, or whatever).

Assume you’re playing a song arrangement. currently, Slot 02 is playing, next in the arrangement is Slot 06.

With Chain Method = Classic, you can tap the currently playing Pattern in this situation to trigger a restart of the pattern at the end of the current bar (see also chapter: Beat Safe Pattern Restarts).

Tapping the currently running Slot highlights it with a blue frame …

… and at the end of the currently playing bar, the Pattern will restart from bar 1,

Note: This only applies if you tap the currently playing Pattern. Tapping another slot would just add that slot to an on-the-fly chain.
