15.4.3 Beat Safe Pattern Restarts

In a live situation, it can happen that you have a beat running, but the phase is one bar shifted. In other words, even if the tempo is in sync the first beat of the first bar of the pattern does not fit with your live session, e.g. when playing along with a band.

In this case, you can tap the currently playing pattern at any time to schedule a restart of the pattern at the end of the current bar.

Once scheduled, the currently playing pattern slot gets a blue bar to signalize the restart at the end of the current bar.

Note: Beat Safe Pattern Restarts are not possible in case of Chain Mode = ON and Chain method = enhanced. In this special case, tapping the currently playing pattern slot will add a new repeat of the same pattern to the chain.

(see Chapter: Chain Mode)

Note: As an alternative, you can also use the Tempo & Beat Matcher on the Timing & Measure screen to move across the bars while the pattern is running.
