Sampler and Grid playback tips

Postby karnold » Thu May 17, 2018 12:40 pm

Hi All

I have some request for the sampler, hope you will find it useful tip.

SAMPLER:
- PLAYBACK
*Oneshot mode (always sounds till the end of the sample)
*Gate Mode (till held down)
*Gate Loop Mode (sounds continously till held down)

- CUT MODES
*Mono (pads cut each other)
*Self (only cuts itself)
*Poly (already have)
*Mute Group (already have)

- ADSR (specially for Gate mode)
*Attack
*Hold
*Decay
*Release

- SLICE-AUTOCHOP function
*Independent start/end points between slices. They can cover the points of each other.)
*Independent Timestretch (timestretch values are independent between sliced samples)

GRID SEQUENCER OF SAMPLER:
*Note length setting option (as VA Beast Seq have)
*Poly mode support (e.g. making chords from scratch)
*Velocity setting

AUTOMOTATION
*Random (in percentage) Slider function for "automatic" minor changes like finetune, release, volume, pan to make the sound more "live"

Welcome to the forum, karnold.
And thanks for your message.

All of them are provided by the VA-Beast PCM sampler (included in G-Stomper Studio).
See here: https://www.planet-h.com/gstomper/docs/html/G-Stomper_UserManual_VaBeastSynthesizer/part22.htm
... and here: https://www.planet-h.com/gstomper/docs/html/G-Stomper_UserManual_VaBeastSynthesizer/part23.htm

All already provided (mute group monophony extension).
See here: https://www.planet-h.com/gstomper/docs/html/G-Stomper_UserManual_DrumSampler/part32.htm

Likewise you can set the complete app to handle the drum samplers monophonic in the G-Stomper settings (SMP).

All of them are provided by the VA-Beast PCM sampler and the VA-Beast Synth (included in G-Stomper Studio).

A slicer might come in the future.
But for now, there's no time frame, sorry.

Also here, use the VA-Beast PCM Sampler.
The drum machine does exactly what it should do, it "triggers" drum samples.
For polyphonic melodies, gate, adsr, etc, use the VA-Beast, with or without samples, you have the choice.
See here: https://www.planet-h.com/gstomper/docs/html/G-Stomper_UserManual_VaBeastSynthesizer/part22.htm

Btw., the drum machine has a velocity.

You mean in real-time, right?
If so, that is actually planned.
