Hi,
with my samsung 6+ handy with android 7 installed latency has been a problem preventing live usage.
Yesterday I got an unexpexted update from android 7 to version 9!
And now and even more unexpected latency seem to be no problem any more!
What has made this change?

If you have a significantly lower latency, then probably because of the new AAudio Audio System, which was introduced in Android 8.1.

Now I can start to think about live usage and not only preparing and fire, that is best news.

I will buy a new tablet, meanwhile my old one is a lazy one (but will be good enough to serve my mixing desk).
With android 9 latency is not a big issue any more but let me ask if there will be a further improvement with android 10?

From my point of view, Android 9 and 10 is very similar when it comes to latency and performance.
If you have the choice, go for Android 10, as this is what the future will be.
