Hi

What is the bass drum used on the hill by the weekend, it comes on at the start of the chorus?

Since this has nothing to do with the VA-Beast Synth, I moved it over to here.
I assume you mean the Song "The Hills" by "The Weekend", right?

I gave it a quick listen. The bass drum itself nothing special. It's a pretty deep kick drum, which you can find many of the FLPH sample packs (e.g. Future House, EDM Inferno, House Banger, etc.). The quintessence why the kick drum is so dominant is the compression. It sounds like everything else than the kick drum is running through a compressor, which is side chained by the kick drum.

To achieve this in G-Stomper, you have to duplicate the kick drum track. One of the kick drum tracks must be send to the main mix, and the other one must be send to input 2 of the compressor (in one of the FX slots, FX1, FX2 or FX3). All other tracks must be sent to input 1 (the regular way) of the compressor.

This produces the ducking effect which bings the kickdrum that much to the front.
