[DONE in 5.9.2.9] Lower Minimum Value for Velocity Randomization

Hi,

This question is for GS Producer. Would it be possible to lower the minimum value for velocity randomization below 5?

I know it may seem trivial, but here's a scenario:

Say I have a string of notes and I set their velocities roughly at 80, 85, 90, 95. If I wanted to make the velocities a bit more random, because 5 is the minimum setting, the notes can lose their crescendo and end up as 83, 81, 92, 90. Then I have to manually fix them.

I know a workaround could be to just make the velocities farther apart, and then use a compressor. But I like to program the compression into the performance when I can to save CPU.

Anyway, I know this is relatively minor, but thought it might be an "easier" change than usual feature requests. Thanks!

Hi Chris_881
That shouldn't be a too big change. Let me see what I can do.
What would you prefer as a minimum?
Would +/- 2 be fine?
Or even +/- 1?

Thanks for the reply!

I don't have a strong preference between 1 and 2, at least for my purposes, so whichever you think is best.

Will go for +/- 1.
Even though it's barely noticeable, there is no reason not to allow it.

Hi Chris
Was a very quick fix. Will sneak it into the upcoming stabilization release.

Thank you, that's awesome! I'm glad it was an easy fix.
