Lots of feature resuests in one big post!

First… These are just me thinking through how things work and my workflow on a small screen. I'm sorry, this is HUGE, but I thought it would be better to put it all in a big post that have lots of different ones. Obviously I don't know how the program works internally, which things are difficult/time consuming to program. A simple, "no, can't see me ever finding time for this!" is a perfectly acceptable response to any or all of these! Right, here we go!
There are a lot of options in the long-press pattern copy tab, but not the one thing you would most want… Copy Selected Tracks.
24 tick boxes for T1-T24, and 12 tick boxes for VA1-VA12.
Ideally… T Select none. T Select all. VA Select none. VA Select all.
Bingo!
I know you can copy individual tracks on the Drum Machine and Poly Grid, but you really don't want to be doing that too many times.
And yes, I know you can copy all VA or Sampler on the Pattern Set screen.
++++++++++++
Long click on a pattern and on the first tab, have an option "Auto Chain".
This would go through to a page with a drop down to select "none", or A1 to D16.
When a pattern starts playing, and an auto chain is set, it sets the next pattern yellow automatically.
Using this you could build a 16 bar loop or section, a 23 bar loop, or even a 512 bar loop, all accessible with one click into any pattern of the loop.
I don't envisage me or you using a 8192 step sequencer, but it might be nice to have the option!
You could even program strange mixed time signature song loops and sections, like "Hey Ya" or "Say A Little Prayer".
It would be clearer, simpler and a lot more flexible than current song programming, IMHO.
Of course, the main usage would be general pattern control, or people who are busy playing guitar (etc!).
The user can of course press any pattern at any time, to override the chain as usual.
++++++++++++
Unload in the background is a great thing for battery life, but it might be nicer if it's an option, rather than a fixed feature, especially in live performance situations.
++++++++++++
It would be really nice to be able to set the order of the three pattern play modes, when you click, double click, and triple click. Currently they are:
A Select: At end of running pattern.
B Select: At end of running bar.
C Select: At end of the running bar (+keep Bar Position)
As an alternative, A-C-B would *definitely* be useful for me.
Also, *maybe* C-A or C-A-B.
I just find with the current A-B-C order, I try to triple click, but it sometimes passes a new bar, and jumps onto bar 1 of the new pattern.
I think precise triple clicking is beyond my skill set!
AGGHHHH!
+++++++++++++
Pattern names are currently really, really small, and are in dark text on a coloured background.
Everything looks great, but it's very difficult to read on a phone, and this could be really useful information when you are tapping on patterns in a live setting, and have a few or lots of different songs.
I think *my* ideal display would be that when a name has been set, the first 'x' characters are displayed in place of the 01, 02, 03 at this font size!
If the 3T, 2VT dropped down, there would be enough space for about 9 or 10 characters at this size.
Plenty of room for INTRO1, 02 intro, VERSE3, MID, 05 BREAK, 09 end, etc.
IMHO, This would also look and feel great on the demo songs.
But any font size increase would be very much appreciated.
++++++++++++
On Sampler Track Grid and especially VA Beast, could the screen scroll position be saved?
No a biggie, but it would help navigating back and forth.
++++++++++++
It strikes me that a great bluetooth midi controller would be a midi controller app running on a second android device.
Has anyone done this?
What apps output the correct bluetooth midi for GSS?
If no-one else has done it, I am definitely up for trying!
