Sample Polyphony

Postby LucidMusicInc » Tue Oct 20, 2015 2:18 am

I would like to set levels of polyphony per track in the sampler. In settings you can set it to cut samples or overlap. Naturally sample monophony sounds good for loops but for textures I want long release times and overlapping harmonies in the same song.

It's not vital but it could open up some more creative potential in terms of soundset creation :geek:

Agree... I missed that ability too a couple of times.
I'm not sure if and how it'll be possible (technically). I have to look into the code to check that in detail.

It's on the task list now, so it won't be forgotten;)
Thanks for the suggestion, Lucid.

Update:
The drum samplers will definitely stay monophonic.
But in G-Stomper Studio 5.0 you'll get wavetable synthesis for the VA-Beast synth, in other words you'll be able to load multi-sampled instruments to the oscillators.
