Multi format exporter

Postby Foxonart » Sun Oct 18, 2015 7:44 pm

For convenience sake...mp3, flac, wm etc. Mp3 with bit rate and lossless at least.

Welcome to the forum, Foxonart.

More export formats are definitely planned for the future.

Just for completion, there is no true "lossless" mp3, flac, wm etc. All these file formats do some compression, which means there's some loss. Of course the loss might not be noticeable at high bit rates (above 256 or 320kbit/s), but that does not mean that there's no loss.

For sure mp3 is lossy. Flac and wma both have lossless. And its true lossless...like a zip file. Good to hear about the plans to include more formats. Nice.

Indeed... After a bit of research, I have to agree. Flac is lossless and wma offers a lossless format.
Mp3 is lossy, since its algorithm is based on the concept of dropping data.

However, good to know about flac and wma. Thanks for the hint.
