G-Stomper BETA 2.6.8 with Comp. Sidechain + bouncing support

Postby planet-h » Wed Aug 14, 2013 8:38 am

Hi guys

This is the first BETA for the upcoming release!

Release Notes:
Side chain functionality for compressor, limiter and filter envelopes (long press on efx send to switch beween input 1+2) (special thanks to Stephen Provenzano)
Single sample export/bounce in track menu (special thanks to Stefan Mendez)
BugFix in the wav reader to support extended formats (special thanks to Stephen Provenzano for his help)
Fixed in-app market links

EFX SideChain:
I've attached 2 demo patterns, in those you see how to use the compressor and filter env side chain. Just unzip and copy them into the folder gstomper/patterns on your device storage.

gstomper268_demopatterns.zip
(1.79 KiB) Downloaded 350 times

The Sidechain feature is built as followed:
All supported effects (Compressor(simple), Limiter(simple), Compressor/Limiter, + all filters) got a secondary input, which is used for the side chain.
To send a signal to the secondary input, first select the effect as usual (efx send button).
Once selected, long click the efx send button to switch from input1 to input2.
That's it;)

Sample Bounce:
To use the sample bounce feature, long click on the desired Tx button and choose 'Export (bounce) Sound as new Sample'.
This will export the sound of the current track including all track parameters: pan, vol, start, len, pitch, track filter params, env destination, env type, reverse, normalize.
The regular EFX chain is NOT included.

During the bounce process you can choose if you want the bounced sample to be loaded automatically after the export is finished.

Hope you're enjoying the new features.

Can't wait to test out these new features! The sample track that you posted down below sounded amazing. I'm a bit confused about how the "Sidechain" function is supposed to work. But, hopefully once I load up that demo pattern that you've provided, it will all make sense. You'll have my report today. Take care! :D

Update G-Stomper 2.6.8 BETA-2

Release Notes BETA-2:

Side chain functionality for compressor, limiter and filter envelopes (long press on efx send to switch beween input 1+2) (special thanks to Stephen Provenzano)
Export/Bounce Sample in track menu (special thanks to Stefan Mendez)
Export/Bounce complete Track in track menu
The absolute path is now shown in the folder list of the sample selector (thanks to Ingo Gerhardt for the hint)
BugFix in the wav reader to support extended formats (special thanks to Stephen Provenzano for his help)
Multiple Fixes in the Sample and Export handling, no more glitches when exporting loops (special thanks to Stephen Provenzano for his help)
Fixed in-app market links

Export/Bounce Sample:

To use the sample bounce feature, long click on the desired Tx button and choose 'Export/Bounce Sample'.
This will export the Sample (not the sequence) of the current track including all track parameters: pan, vol, start, len, pitch, track filter params, env destination, env type, reverse, normalize.
The regular EFX chain is NOT included.

During the bounce process you can choose if you want the bounced sample to be loaded automatically after the export is finished.

Export/Bounce complete Track:

To use the track bounce feature, long click on the desired Tx button and choose 'Export/Bounce complete Track'.
This will export the complete Track including everything params, sequence and EFX as an audio loop.
The loop will replace the track sequence and gets loaded automatically at the end of the bounce process.

EFX SideChain:

I've attached 2 demo patterns (see first post of this topic), in those you see how to use the compressor and filter env side chain. Just copy them into the folder gstomper/patterns on your device storage.

That's it;)
