Re: Update and folders

Btw. based on this post and other questions we got over other channels, I've added this global post: Important Note about using Shared/Isolated Storage and the new File System Handling The post provides a brief explanation why the file handling had to be changed. It furthermore provides a set of lin...

Important Note about using Shared/Isolated Storage and the new File System Handling

The upcoming Android OS versions (Q and R) force all apps to go that way, and there is no way around it. Android Q introduces Scoped Storage and forces every app to use the “System Files Picker” in order to access files outside of its private, isolated storage. We’re doing our best to give you an as...

Re: Volume

Yes the Master EQ makes a difference...! Thanks! Where would you put it in the order mentioned? Oh, I wish it would be that simple. Actually it's so much more than just putting these features in a specific order. You can fine tune/pimp a clean mix very well with an EQ on the sum (master out). But y...

There are exceptions of course.
Using a limiter or a compressor in the SumFX or using the Master EQ to boost some frequency parts is surely recommended, as long as you do not overdo it.

lonbluster wrote:So to recap what order to avoid clipping?:

-hardware volume
-android media volume
-Master
-Mixer
-sample Gain
-sample Fx
-sample Eq
-sample Fx1

any better order?

Is that order mean as prioritization of what is the best choice?
If so, then yes, that looks pretty good.

I did not doubt, I did just ask ... because you didn't list it in the things you already tried ;)

Re: Volume

In what case you discourage Fx ? That is really amplifying the volume! I do not recommend to use FX to increase the volume because that is not what FX are meant for. If you use the Stereo Tool for example, and then raise the volume to 200%, then all you produce is clipping. Of course it sounds loud...

Re: Volume

I have moved the topic to general questions, as this is what it actually is. I tried to raise the volume in many ways: -sample properties -master Don't forget the mixer channels. Just keep in mind that if you raise all volumes to 100%, you'll run into a lot of clipping for sure. It's normal that you...

Re: After purchasing g-stomper is it possible to use the samples and instruments in other daws?

Ok but what about exporting patterns as audio, wouldn't that make it possible then? Technically, yes, but that's a tedious procedure. I mean if we talk about the 909, 808, 606, etc. kits, then I think there will be much easier ways to get those kits than exporting each sample one by one. And keep i...
