That said, I tried listening to one of my grooves over my Bluetooth speaker at work...no go. I could barely hear a quiet distorted version...all other apps sounded fine.
Any suggestions? I'm using a brand new LG Aristo running Android 7.
Wow, that's indeed a long time ago. In 1981 I didn't even own my first C64
Regarding your Bluetooth speaker:
That strongly depends on your device, your Android version and the Bluetooth speaker itself.
Generally, hooking up a speaker over Bluetooth adds more latency (but that's another story) + it uses more CPU time, as this changes the underlying audio path (the way the signal goes after it leaves the G-Stomper app).
If you have the chance to hookup the speaker with a cable, then I'd always recommend go that way instead of using the Bluetooth connection.
When you say "all other apps sounded fine", do you mean Music Players? Or do you mean other Sequencer apps?
However, what you can do is first to reboot your device and then give it another try. That ensures that no other apps block anything in the hardware chain.
If it still happens, try using a different Audio System in G-Stomper:
Main Screen / SETUP / AUD / Audio System = OpenSL or AudioTrack (classic).
Hope that solves the problem.
